Flood defence works

A new flood screen is currently being installed here on the River Exe as part of the £32 million Exeter flood defence scheme being undertaken by the Environment Agency. This work will continue into the Autumn of 2017 and has required the draining of the nearby millrace. Heavy machinery may be working in the millrace during the hours of 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday. We apologise for any inconvenience, but these works are completely beyond our control. The Mill on the Exe is open as usual, although there will be considerable noise when the heavy machinery is working.
